Travel on Q is a fully licensed, IATA (International Air Traffic Association) accredited, independent travel agency offering unbiased and intelligent travel advice. We belong to AFTA (the Australian Federation of Travel Agents and are members of the Travel Compensation Fund, which protects the travelling public. We are also a proud menber and supporter of the Australian Himalayan Foundation, which sponsors education programmes and other projects in the Himalayan region.

Established in 1991, Travel on Q specialises in travel solutions for corporate and individual clients. Our consultants have an extensive travel industry background and a strong client following, including people from all walks of life. We employ over 50 years of industry experience to service and support the comprehensive needs of our clients.

Whilst we maintain our independent status, we also have the strong backing of the prestigious travel group, Travellers Choice, an alignment of like minded agents backed by the largest Airlines and Travel Wholesalers worldwide. This alliance allows us to offer a wide range of travel products at competitive rates.

The Staff

Carole Grassby - Director

Carole has a Bachelor of Education (Sydney University) and worked initially as a teacher of disabled children. After studying in Italy and travelling extensively in Europe, she pursued a travel career in London, obtaining travel accreditations with British Airways.

After returning to Australia she gained further qualifications whilst working as an international consultant for Sundowners, giving her the opportunity to travel to exotic locations such as China, Mongolia, Africa and India, both as a Tour Escort and participant. There followed several years in both corporate and retail agencies. During this time Carole also worked part time in the evenings as a teacher at Ryde and Dover Heights TAFE teaching the Travel Certificate Course.

Seeing the need for a boutique agency offering high quality travel advice and personal service, Carole established Travel on Q in 1991 and has brought together a loyal, experienced and highly trained team to achieve this goal.

Carole has continued to travel whenever possible and has a preference for active holidays cycling and walking, though a bit of luxury and fine cuisine the end of the day is always appreciated when available!


Lyndy Blix - Home Based Consultant

Lyndy has a Bachelor of Arts from Sydney University, Qantas, Sabre and BSP travel qualifications. She started in the travel industry while living in England in 1979 and  worked in the industry since then, taking some time off to raise her family. She has worked exclusively for Travel on Q since 1995. A highly experienced Travel Manager, Lyndy has as strong client following and managed many of our large corporate accounts. Lyndy has travelled frequently in Europe and has a passion for Italy and France with a particular interest in charming out of the way locations that are the highlight of any itinerary. Lyndy has now retired from day to day consulting and spends a lot ot time with her husband David on their boat !

Carla Bazouni - Consultant

Carla trained at the AFTA Travel College in Sydney and then began her career as a consultant with Traveland in 1998. She joined Travel on Q in 2000 and has been working as a part time corporate and leisure consultant with us since then, except for an extended Honeymoon break! Carla has travelled extensively in Italy, Greece and Thailand and most recently to Mauritius and Lebanon. Carla has a genuine love of the travel industry and is committed to providing the highest standard of service to her clients. She is currently on extended maternity leave.

Tina Briggs  - Consultant

After arriving in Australia, Tina completed a Diploma in Tourism and has 3 years Australian industry experience. She joined the team in 2004. She speaks fluent    German and Russian.

Sue Myers - Consultant

Our most recent addition to the team, Sue joined Travel on Q in January 2009 having taken a break from Travel to raise two children. Sue completed a Bachelor of Arts at NSW University, but quickly moved into travel. She began her career with Qantas and after a stint in London, was based in Dallas, Texas for 5 years catering the to the inbound market to Australia. Her path crossed with Travel on Q at this time and later when she returned to Australia to take up a position in Conference and Event management where we worked together sending large pharmaceutical conference groups to Asia. Sue has travelled extensively and has a passion for travel among other pursuits such as Toastmasters, a walking group and various women's grroups.

Kerrie Cotton - Accountant

Kerrie has an accounting major from Macquarie University.
An invaluable member or our team, Kerrie makes sure that our back office systems are kept up to date which makes us all the more efficient. Her most recent travels took her to Cradle Mountain and the Bay of Fires in Tasmania. She is also one of our Bhutan experts, having travelled there in April 2007.
